Our Pastor Nominating Committee is prayerfully considering applicants who are open to a solo pastor call.

But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” Matthew 19: 14

Each Sunday, volunteers attend the Nursery and teach Children's Church during the morning worship hour. This allows parents to focus on the Word, as well as builds a loving foundation for our kids on Jesus' lessons, brotherhood, and serving others.

Long Canites

Our older adults group meets on the third Tuesday of every month for a luncheon at noon or outings.

Men of the Church

Our men's group meets monthly on the second Wednesday at 7:00 pm for supper and devotion in the fellowship hall.

Circle #2

A ladies' group has devotion on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm in the Discovery classroom, usually after dinner at a local restaurant.

Presbyterian Women, Inc., is the women’s organization in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and is a community of more than 200,000 women.

UCMAC

United Christian Ministries of Abbeville County is supported by Upper Long Cane through financial as well as canned goods donations for the food pantry.

Souper Bowl of Caring

The Souper Bowl offering, which began in Columbia, South Carolina, is collected each year on Super Bowl Sunday.

Betty Jo & Mary's Closet

Betty Jo and Mary's Closet was established to help the educators in Abbeville County get much needed supplies for themselves and their students.

Thornwell

Each November a special offering is collected for the Thornwell Home for Children in Clinton, SC.

Abbeville Youth Center

Local teens are supported and encouraged in a Christ-filled atmosphere at the Abbeville Youth Center on South Main Street.

Angel Tree

We imitate Jesus' generous and giving spirit each Christmas season by sponsoring local children to supply with clothing and toys.

Presbyterian Mission Agency

Various special offerings are held annually to assist those in need locally and worldwide.

Meals on Wheels

Donations and volunteer support is provided to Meals on Wheels through the Piedmont Agency on Aging in Greenwood, SC.

Camp Fellowship

ULCPC loves Camp Fellowship! Aside from financial donations, each summer we send kids (and even sometimes counselors) to camp for a week of learning about God in the great outdoors on the shores of Lake Greenwood.
